The 80/20 Principle: Restorative Practices Knowledge, Capacity, and Community Building
This fall, DOIE invites the UMBC community to deepen their restorative practices skills and strengthen community connection through two complementary series. The 80/20 Principle workshops (Sept. 29 & Nov. 12) offer interactive learning on RP foundations and fair, inclusive process design, featuring guest speakers from UMD and the International Institute for Restorative Practices. Alongside these, Circles for Beloved Community (Sept. 30 & Nov. 18) creates space to share openly, build trust, and practice what community can look like at UMBC. Together, these sessions build the knowledge and relational capacity needed to navigate change and cultivate belonging across campus.
